My Jo Malone Experience and Review: Nectarine Blossom & Honey Body Creme

Just before Christmas, my husband and I went Christmas shopping in Bristol. We wandered into Harvey Nichols and over to the Jo Malone counter as I wanted to smell some of the fragrances. As it was a shopping evening in there, we were offered a glass of prosecco, which went down very nicely indeed and then began sniffing all the testers. The lovely sales assistant told me about the fragrances and recommended some based on what I told her I liked. She also told me about fragrance combining and the scents that worked well together. I pretty much smelt the whole range, I think I got carried away (which was probably fuelled by the bubbles!) and continued to smell the candles and also the body cremes. The assistant gave me a mini hand massage with the Nectarine Blossom and Honey Body Creme which I thought was beautiful, very fresh yet with a mild sweetness about it. We went away from the counter and continued our Christmas shopping, but all I could smell was this beautiful fragrance and I just kept saying to my husband how much I liked it. Being the great romantic he is, he sneaked off while I was shopping and went back to Jo Malone and bought it for me.

Later that evening he presented me with the gorgeous Jo Malone bag and I was so excited to find the body creme nestled inside the bag in one of their signature and black gift boxes. Before we went out, I used it in replacement for perfume. It glided onto the skin and sunk in easily and was left with the the gorgeous scent that Jo Malone describes as London Covent Garden’s early morning market. Succulent nectarine, peach and cassis and delicate spring flowers melt into the note of acacia honey. Sweet and delightfully playful.

It felt extremely luxurious and the smell lingered on my skin all evening and I could even smell it when I woke up the next day, so even though it is a body cream, it really is so much more and I often use it instead of perfume. At £46 for 175ml, it is not something you would buy as your daily body moisturiser, but for special occasions it really is a wonderful product, and looks great on the dressing table, I absolutely love it and can’t wait to try more of their scents.
