My Top 5: Make-Up Brushes

I have quite a few make-up brushes in my collection, I also have a list of quite a few I would like to get too! However, if someone said to me you could only use 5 make-up brushes for the rest of your life, these would be the ones I choose and cant live without – my desert island make-up brushes!

Real Techniques Blush Brush £9.99 from Boots. This brush is amazing! It has a pointed tip so good for getting your blush in the correct place and and as you blend into the skin, the wider part of the brush buffs it in seamlessly. This makes it also very good for getting in under the cheekbones when contouring and I also use it for powder too, so as you can see its extremely versatile. As with all Real Techniques brushes it is made from synthetic hair which allows it to dry extremely quickly when washed.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush £9.99 from Boots. This for me is a great brush for applying foundation and buffing it into the skin. It is quite dense yet soft and gives a good coverage of foundation. It can also be used for cream blush and I know many people use it for the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel cream Bronzer which is still high on my wish list!

Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush £6.99 from Boots. The brush has allowed me to master the art of winged gel eyeliner so is a definite must for me, I wear gel eyeliner a lot. Previous to this I used my Mac 266 which although worked, was never as fine or as smooth. Love this and at the moment all Real Techniques are on 3 for 2 in Boots.

Mac 217 Brush £17. I think this is the most talked about eye shadow blending brush in history and is surely a staple in most beauty enthusiasts make-up bag. It makes applying, blending and shading powder and cream eyeshadows a dream and I really would not be without it. A great brush.

Mac 266 Brush £16. My final brush of my top 5 I use mainly for my brows for applying Mac Omega. It creates precise lines, which I also find useful if I am using eyeshadow to line my lash line.

What would be your top 5 brushes to use? Any recommendations?
