I have been using some great hair products recently, everything I have tried has really been delivering. Firstly is a conditioner that has had quite a bit of praise from bloggers, the L’Oreal EverRiche Nourishing & Flowing Conditioner for dry, fine hair has been doing a great job at conditioning my locks. With such hype, I thought I would give this a go as I needed to find a more purse-friendly option to the likes of Redken and Kerastase, which are my preferred conditioners. This formulation is especially designed for over-processed hair which is perfect for my colour-treated, highlighted hair which also gets a battering from the hair-dryer and straighteners! It contains a blend of camelina and apricot seed botanical oils which is what makes it smell so delicious, it really is good enough to eat! An advantage with this hair care range is that it is sulphate free, which is great news for coloured hair as sulphates can actually cause damage to the already weakened hair and I’m all for less chemicals! My hair feels soft and smooth, yet manageable and at a bargain price of £3.99 (when I bought it on offer), I really don’t have a bad word to say! I am looking forward to trying the shampoo next.
Once a week, I also like to use a deep conditioning treatment to keep my hair in good repair. The Macadamia Deep Repair Masque has been my most recent purchase and I am in love. It smells amazing and my hair feels so smooth and nourished once I’ve used it without being so fly away that it is unmanageable. Amongst other oils, the macadamia and argan oil help to rejuvenate and rebuild the hair, making it a great treat for dry, damaged hair. My hair isn’t particularly dry, however through constant styling and colouring, it does get quite damaged, especially in the summer when the sun is an additional damaging factor! This is the first product I have tried from Macadamia and probably the best mask I have tried, and throughly recommend it. This 100ml tube was £6.77 from Beauty Bay, where they also do a 30ml sample size for only £2.21 if you wanted to test it out for yourself!
My final pick is the TRESemme Texture Style Backcomb Dust which I have been using to add volume to my roots. I have been going out more than usual recently and have been using this little bottle of powder to add some oomph to my style. Simply partition a section of hair, sprinkle in the powder and rub into the roots to create volume without the need for back combing (although I still like to do a little!). It also gives a lot of grip to the hair, so really great for up-dos too and as the bottle is so small, it fits easily into your bag for touch-ups during the day/evening. It does leave small amount of build-up in your hair, but I find giving your hair a double wash they day after removes this no problem.
Does anyone have any more recommendations for great hair products?
