Review: Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment

Origins can do no wrongs when it comes to skincare and is up there as one of my favourite brands. Their Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment is holy grail status for me and have repurchased this several times now, my skin loves it.

I have combination to oily skin, although it is also quite dehydrated. This product was the first thing I found to transform my skin when it was going through an extremely bad phase. During pregnancy, my skin changed from very oily to very dry and dehydrated with horrendous cystic acne and skin that was literally flaking off. It was the worst my skin had ever been and with the two extremes of acne and flaking skin, I didn’t have a clue what to use. After doing a bit of research and then visiting an Origins counter, I learnt that my skin extremely dehydrated, something I never really considered before. To cut a long story short, I changed my skincare routine to use more gentle products that didn’t strip my skin and also products tailored for dehydrated skin. My skin has improved dramatically since then and am still using this amazing product that helped to transform my skin to what it is today.

This treatment is a lightweight gel formula especially for dehydrated skins, it is fortified with Jericho Lychee and Watermelon complex which helps to boost moisture in the skin. I use it as a treatment before my regular moisturiser morning and night, and really feel that it has changed the way my skin looks, I can definitely tell the difference if I have not used it. My skin is left plumped, brightened and hydrated and my blemishes have also been reduced. I have noticed too that any scars from old blemishes have also faded and flakey skin is a thing of the past now, leaving a smooth, radiant complexion. It really has done wonders for my skin. I know a lot of people like Hydraluron as a serum to hydrate their skin. I have tried this and quite like it, but personally think that this does a far better job of locking in moisture to the skin. As with most Origins products, it smells amazing too!

This treatment is aimed at combination-oily skins, but there are other versions available for combination-dry and very dry skins that are still dehydrated. A 50ml pot is £33 but only a little is needed so a pot lasts ages. Available from Origins counters at Boots, House of Fraser and Debenhams
