Wowee, October has flown, and there have been a few little gems that I have loved so much that they have made it onto this month favourites!
Starting with skincare, I have totally fallen in love with the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and I have Amelia from Liana Beauty to thank for this. She posted about a 2 for 1 offer on her blog and after checking out the Oskia website, I was sold. Their products are designed by nutritionists, and as having studied nutrition myself, I have full appreciation of how good nutrition is essential for skin health. I will explain more when I do a full review of this product, but as for the cleanser itself….wow! I have tried a few cleansers in my time, but this has now claimed my number one spot. My skin has never been so smooth and soft and I can honestly say I have noticed a visible difference in the clarity of my skin. It is a gel, but acts more like a balm, a lovely pink balm, which glides across the skin and cleanses the skin like no other. I am in love!
The other skincare favourite this month is Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil which I have been patting into my skin every other night. It helps to improve the firmness, elasticity and suppleness of the skin, whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines, UV damage, scars and stretch marks. I have noticed how smooth and hydrated my skin is and definitely think it has helped to improve the tone of my skin whilst helping to clear a few acne scars that I have. I have also been rubbing it into a couple of scars on my torso that I have from an operation I had earlier this year and can see a marked improvement. I will report back after I have used this for a few more months in a full review.
The remainder of my favourites are make-up, of which I have made some great discoveries. Maybelline Brow Drama is a tinted brow gel that I have been loving for a while now (I forgot to mention it last month!). After filling in my brows, I run this through and it sets them in place and adds a bit of texture too. See my full review here.
Another eye product which has changed my life is the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. Being a gel liner fan, I never experimented with these sorts of liners before, but I love how easy it is to apply, especially when I do a winged eye. It stays put all day and the best part is that it is only £2.99! Read my rave review here.
So Bourjois have released their new shades of their amazing Color Boost Lip Crayons (read about this here). I love them both, but have really fallen for the berry-toned Plum Russian and love how it looks on my lips. It really is the quintessential autumn shade, and leaves the lips glossy and hydrated at the same time!
Finally, top marks go to the packaging of this Michael Kors Bronzing Powder in Glow, it really is beautiful and the product inside is actually rather lovely too. Gives the face a subtle bronze glow, nothing over the top about this bronzer at all, making it perfect for autumn/winter. I recently expressed my love for this here.
I can’t wait to discover some more favourites next month…roll on November!
