L'Oreal Ever Pure Shampoo & Conditioner

When buying shampoo and conditioners, I tend to use ones that protect my colour (as this is most important to me), and then use styling products to add the volume to my fine hair. When I saw the L’Oreal EverPure for Colour Care and Volume, I thought I would give them a go to see if they could really deliver both!

I have previously used the EverRiche Conditioner for dry fine hair, which I really loved so had faith in this range. All the products in this range are sulphate free, so it’s great to know that there are no nasties in the products you are using, plus sulphates can actually cause damage to already weakened hair (which I have due to colouring and heat styling), so love that it is getting added protection from them being removed.

I love the sleek purple packaging of these and the practically aspect of it coming in a squeezy tube, to get every last drop out! The shampoo lathers well even without sls (sodium lauryl sulphate) in the ingredients, so you do not need to use too much. The conditioner is fairly lightweight and not too creamy which I like, as it doesn’t weigh down my hair. They are enriched with botanical rosemary and juniper oils so both smell gorgeous, really fresh and uplifting.

I have been using these together for about a month now so have given them a fair trial. I like that they protect my colour well (have not seen any signs of fading), and can definitely notice extra volume in my somewhat flat hair. My hair behaves well after washing and it is a nice everyday shampoo and conditioner. The only negative really is that I don’t think it is the best at conditioning my hair, as it does not feel as soft and sleek as usual. Having coloured hair that is frequently blow dried and straightened means that I need a conditioner that can really deliver and although I don’t think that it’s that bad, it is not the best either. I do think though the shampoo is a great and meets my expectations, especially for the £3.99 I paid when it was on offer. There is however, a smoothing shampoo and conditoner that is for Colour Care and Moisture in the same EverPure line, so may have to try this to see if it is more nourishing for my hair.

Available from Boots at £5.99 each
