I have used the Caudalie Beauty Elixir for a while now, not really as a toner as it can be used, but as a pick-me-up when I am feeling tired or under-the-weather, which has been quite frequently recently! For those not in the know, this is a water spray infused with grape, orange blossom, rose, organic mint balm and rosemary and misted over the face, it really perks up the skin making you feel awake and revived! I personally love the smell, the mint is the predominant scent coming through which really does a great job of refreshing the skin.
It was inspired by the ‘elixir of youth’ which was used by the Queen of Hungary, and it claims to smooth features, tighten pores and give the complexion a burst of radiance. I have been using it daily over the past couple of weeks and can definitely vouch for the smoothing effect, my skin is great at the moment and I have a feeling it may have something to do with this. I don’t really have any blemishes at the moment (which is unheard of with my skin!), so think that it is doing its magic there too!
It has a become a but of a cult product with make-up artists and celebrities, and Victoria Beckam apparently uses it to set her make-up, which is another use of this product which I have tried on occasion when I remember. I’m not sure what it is about it, but it definitely boosts the skin making it appear more radient and I love being able to spritz it throughout the day whenever I need a pick-me-up.
Although only a small 30ml bottle, it does last well as only a couple sprays are needed. It disperses the water as a fine, gentle mist so doesn’t really use much of the product and this handbag sized bottle is good value I think at just over £10. The limited edition packaging is designed by fashion designer L’Wren Scott which pays homage to the beauty of the female silhouette. It is so elegant and would make a perfect little stocking filler for any beauty obsessed fashionista!
