I have tried lots of amazing make-up this year, so wanted to round off 2013 with my top 5 products that I have been loving this year.
Mac Eyeshadows (£10 each)
I literally use at least one of these everyday, so how could they not be in my top products of the year? The formula is amazing, so easy to blend and the shade range is vast. I use Omega for my brows, which is a great shade for blondes. Other favourites include Mulch, Woodwinked, All That Glitters and Amber Lights. I currently have 13 shadows in my palette so only have to get 2 more to complete it…I think Cranberry and Sketch are next on my list. I will write a post on it when it is full so I can share some of my favourite combinations with you.
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation (£33)
This is definitely my most used foundation of the year, I have the shades Bamboo Beige and Cashew Beige and definitely prefer the latter on my skintone. This foundation is superb at covering blemishes and redness and gives the skin a flawless finish. It has fantastic longevity too so I can be sure that my make-up stays in place all day. I have written a full review here.
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara (£7.99)
Ever since Tanya Burr introduced me to this mascara, I have been hooked, although I personally prefer the original formula rather than the black drama formula that she favours. I love how it lengthens and adds volume to give a dramatic look. It doesnt transfer, smudge or flake and the price is hard to beat, especially as you can always find it on 3 for 2! I could not be without this A* mascara, highly recommended!
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight (£6.49)
This has been my go-to lipstick since purchasing it a few months ago. It is the easiest lipstick to wear even without a mirror, and complements most looks. As I like to wear a smokey eye, I play it down in the lip area, so this is perfect! It is a complete dupe for Mac Shy Girl too, which is one of my most loved Mac lipsticks too. It has a lovely moisturising formula, so perfect for the winter months. I have a done a full review here.
Chanel Soliel Tan de Chanel (£31)
I had been swooning over this cream bronzer for ages, and eventually took the plunge and treated myslef to it earlier in the year. It is the perfect contour product, and equally can be used to bronze up the whole face. I could not leave this alone this summer and loved having an alternative to a powder bronzer. I have reviewed it here and have also compared it to the Bourjois Bronzing Primer here.
I cannot wait for what new make-up products I am yet to discover in 2014, I am excited already!
