Top 5 Skincare Favourites of 2013

Following on from yesterdays Top 5 Make-Up Favourites of 2013, here are my Top 5 Skincare Favourites of 2013! I am obsessed by skincare and always on the hunt for the next best thing, so these are the products that I have discovered this year that have really played an importatnt role in improving my skin.

Origins Make a Difference Plus+ Rejuvenating Treatment (£33)

This super hydrating, lightweight gel/cream is a dehydrated skin’s dream to add moisture and making it feel plump and smooth. As a girl with combination skin, it is sometimes hard to find a balance in products that aren’t overly rich, but at the same time give enough moisture to the skin. I use this as a treatment before my moisturiser or instead of after a face oil. Flakey skin is a thng of the past with this little pot of magic! I have done a full review of this here

Pixi Glow Tonic (£16)

I have talked about this product a lot on my blog, it has appeared in my monthly favourites here, and I have also explained the benefits of using it in conjuction with a hydrating toner here. This exfoliating toner made with glycolic acid, has really made a such a huge difference to my skin. It feels much more toned, firmer and smoother and has a become a staple in my skincare routine. It has become a bit of a cult product due to it’s difficulty to get hold of, however it is now stocked online here, you will just need to wait until it is back in stock first!

Eysilix (£16.66)

The most effective eye cream that I have ever use, I really have noticed such a difference with this. Dark circles are (almost) banished and my laughter lines/wrinkles have gone. Obviously I still have some small lines and creasing, but the ones that were creeping down to the top of my cheek have gone. The texture of this is just perfect, not too runny and not too thick and best of all it does not break the bank. If you are 30+, you seriously need to invest in this! I have done a full review of this wonder cream here.

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil (£20)

This is such a lovely face oil that has done wonders for my skin. I apply it every other night and it has really helped to heal the red marks left from previous acne, giving me a more even skintone. It hydrates the skin, leaving it plump and smooth by the morning and helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and UV damage. I have also been using it on a couple of scars I have on my body from keyhole surgery earlier this year and they have faded so much, I hardly notice them now. A great face oil at a great price, even for those with oily/combination skin like myself as it is not heavy at all.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel (£32)

I am seriously in love with this glorious pink gel cleanser. It has the perfect consitancy for my combination skin which although is a thick gel, acts more like a balm as it melts to a light oil once applied to the skin. It removes every trace of make-up leaving my skin hydrated and balanced, without having that ‘stripped’ feeling. It has a beautiful, light floral scent too which I love and is perfect as both a morning and evening cleanser. Oskia products are formulated by nutritionists, so it is also rich in vitamins essential for cell renewal. Definitely my favourite cleanser of the year, although a special shout-out also goes to Clarins Pure Melt Gel Cleanser which I also think is a fantastic cleanser perfect for combination or problematic skin.

What have been your skincare highlights of 2013, I’d love to know?
