If you are lusting after the Naked palette, but it is out of your budget, feast your eyes on this! The ELF Baked Eyeshadow Palette in Texas containing 10 neutral, mainly shimmery baked shadows which are perfect for creating a variety of make-up looks.
I received this from my lovely friend Laura at Tease Flutter Pout as part of the Bloggers Secret Santa. I was so excited to get this as I had never tried anything from E.L.F. before and also for the sheer prettiness of the palette, how gorgeous does it look?
The eyeshadows themselves vary a little, I absolutely love the darker shades swatched in the final photo above, they are lovely and pigmented, and the darkest two shades have more of a satin finish so are not as shimmery so perfect for creating a smokey eye, they look gorgeous on! A few of the mid-toned shades are not as pigmented and actually quite glittery and didn’t look great on to be honest, a bit wishy washy if you know what I mean? That saying the lightest shade in the palette looks fantastic as an inner corner hightlight. So I am a bit mixed in my opinions really, I loved probably half the shades in the palette which is not too bad. I would say though that I really love the neat black packaging which very sturdy and fastens well with a lovely big mirror in the top, so would be perfect for travel or on-the-go touch-ups, which you may need as they dont really last all day unfortunately. However, for only £10 it is fanstastic value, making each shadow only £1, you cant really argue with that! E.L.F. often have 50% sales too, so you may be able to pick it up even cheaper.
Have you tried anything from E.L.F. that I need to invest in?
