February Favourites

So this month has been very hectic for me, I have mostly been packing and unpacking boxes as we have just bought a gorgeous new house right on the edge of Dartmoor. I love it, it is so peaceful here and open my curtains to a view of the moors everyday now (as opposed to a crazy lady that used to walk her cats around my street before!) and is the perfect home for my little family. This is why I was missing is action for nearly two weeks as wifi took much longer than I thought! Anyway, I am back blogging again now, so without further ado, here is what I have been loving throughout February.

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea (£6.99)

I was so excited about the launch of Tanya’s collection, I ordered them the minute they we’re launched. However due to a delay with the nail polishes and then being delivered to the wrong address, I eventually received them last week! That said, the lipgloss in Afternoon Tea is all I have had on my lips since it dropped through my letterbox. It is the perfect opaque milky pink gloss that is not too sticky and tastes amazing. I have found the staying power to be much better than expected too, especially for the price. I shall be doing a full review of all the products next week, so stay tuned for that!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy ($26)

During a #bbloggers chat recently, I was saying how much I wanted to try this blush as I have heard so many good things about them. My lovely friend Brittany from Life Set Sail, who lives in Canada, offered to get it and ship it to the UK for me, what a star! I chose the shade Tipsy as it seemed like the perfect coral (what else?), and I wasn’t disappointed! I shall being doing a full review of this soon, but OMG, the pigmentation on this is unreal, you only literally have to tap the blush with your brush for enough product and the lasting power of this is fantastic. I am so glad I got this, I am hoping the rumours are true that Tarte is coming to the UK as I would undoubtedly pick up more.

Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub (£8)

The search for the perfect body scrub is over, this one ticks all the boxes! It smells good enough to eat,  the grains are are the perfect texture, the scrub is lovely and thick (I like a scrub to be a scrub!) and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It also is extremely purse friendly, total winner. I have reviewed this in more detail here.

Clarins Gentle Exfoliater Brightening Toner* (£20) and Lotus Face Oil* (£24)

The combination of both these products have really done wonders for my skin. I use them about 3-4 days a week as part as my evening skincare routine. After cleansing I apply the toner, which has a fairly thick consistancy, all over my face. I am used to the effects of an exfoliating toner after using the Pixi Glow Tonic for a while. This has similar effects of exfoliating the skin, removing dead skin cells and leaving the complexion smooth and bright. After a quick spritz of a hydrating toner, I follow this by massaging a few drops of the Lotus Oil into my skin. The smell of this is heavenly, very spa-like and relaxing and I leave my skin to drink it up before applying my moisturiser. I wake up the next day and everything is less congested, any spots are brought to a head and the rest of my complexion feels balanced and nourished. I will leave it there for now as of course I will be reviewing these in greater details in the coming weeks, but have to say that I am really impressed with Clarins skincare and it is a joy to use.

Hope you have all had a lovely February too, what products have you enjoyed this month?
