Eye of Horus’ latest release is in homage to the Pantone Colour of the Year 2014, Radiant Orchid. The Jewel Amethyst Goddess Eye Pencil* (£13) is a vibrant deep purple colour with purple micro glitter running through it. Although that sounds as though it may be quite sparkly, the glitter is actually quite subtle but gives a lovely iridescence that really enhances the eyes. Having green eyes myself, I tend to suit purple shades well as it is opposite on the colour wheel and this gorgeous pencil really compliments them and makes my eyes stand out.
It is an extremely pigmented pencil and glides on effortlessly, making it a dream to apply. Being so pigmented, the colour is quite intense when applied so the smudging applicator on the end of the pencil comes in very handy for blending the pencil under the eye. Once blended and set, this literally does not budge all day and continues to stay as vibrant as when applied. It is smudge-proof and waterproof making it perfect for both the waterline as well as lining the eye. It is one of the best quality pencils I have ever tried, I really am super impressed!
I did not experience any sensitivities at all with this liner, and can vouch that it is suitable for contact lense wearers. Eye of Horus products are made with natural ingredients and are paraben-free, they also do not test on animals, which is great news! I have also reviewed their Goddess Mascara too which you can read about here.
Eye of Horus products are available to purchase from www.eyeofhoruscosmetics.co.uk and also Cocktail Cosmetics.
