I was lucky enough to have two weeks of May in the sunshine in Menorca, so the majority of my favourites this month are products that I used on my holiday, so these are great recommendations for your summer beauty wardrobe!
Clarins Sun Care Oil Spray UVA/UVB 30*
I have used the whole bottle of this on my recent holiday, it is that good. A lovely lightweight oil spray that smells absolutely amazing and has given me the most even, golden tan I have ever had! Usually I go a little red and then brown, but with this, there was no burning or redness at all. I shall be doing a full review of this soon, so watch out for it as it is seriously good stuff. Yet another winner from Clarins!
I really am not one for light or sheer bases, bit I always find foundation a little heavy when on holiday. This is light, yet covers all imperfections creating a lovely matte finish which is perfect for my combination skin which tends to get quite oily in the summer. I would definitely recommend this for those of you who want a lighter base, but are scared of wearing tinted moisturisers or bb creams. Also contains SPF 15 to protect the skin, it is my new summer love!
Mac Proenza Schouler Blush in Ocean City
I am sure you will see this crop up a lot in my summer blog posts and I apologise in advance as it is now sold out, but I have literally used it everyday this month and it has been the perfect warm peach blush to compliment my tanned skin. The packaging is just to die for too, I cannot get enough of this!
Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne
I have owned this for a while, but the 30ml travel size bottle is just perfect for travelling with so it came with me on holiday. Jo Malone is the ultimate in fragrances and this is no exception, it is is such an uplifting fragrance that combines the fruity notes of peach, nectarine and cassis with the sweetness of honey. A great fragrance for summer.
Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Hip Hop
This sunny-toned red polish is an old favourite from last summer, which I have been wearing on rotation over the past few weeks. It just looks beautiful with a tan and both the application (with its wide brush) and formula is spot on for a drugstore polish.
Scholl Cracked Heel Repair Cream Active Repair K+
This product literally saved my feet on holiday. I forgot my foot cream, which I know is not really an essential product usually, but whenever I go on holiday, my heels get so dry and they got so bad that the skin cracked and it actually hurt to walk! A quick trip to the local pharmacy soon changed this. As soon as I applied this, my feet felt instantly soothed and after a couple of days my feet started to heel and smoothness was restored. After a week, my feet are back are back to normal and as good as new, what a lifesaver!
I hope you all had a lovely May too, what have been your favourite beauty products?
