L-R: Dior Princess, Maybelline Cashmere Rose, Revlon Papaya, Tanya Burr First Date, Clarins Coral Tulip.
Last week, I gave you my top 5 picks for Spring nail polishes (post here), and while I was in the mood for peaches, pinks and the like, I thought I’d let you into my top picks for lipglosses too!
My first pick is the Dior Addict Gloss in Princess (£22), which is so pretty it’s unreal. It is a baby pink gloss with and iridescent shimmer running through it, really girly but quite sheer so it is not too intense. It has a great non-sticky formula which glides on with ease and because of the slight shimmer, is a perfect little pick-me-up shade for the lips!
A blogger favourite at the moment is the Maybelline Color Sensational Gloss in Cashmere Rose (£6.19) which is a peachy pink gloss with a slight golden shimmer, although the shimmer is not really apparent when on the lips. It applies so smoothly and tastes like grapefruit, which I love! This is a perfect pick for me, especially if you don’t want to spend a fortune on gloss!
The Revlon ColourBurst Lipgloss in Papaya (£7.99) is my brightest pick of the bunch. It is a vibrant coral red with no shimmer. It has a high shine finish and feels lovely and hydrating to wear. The great colour pay means it can be easily worn alone or if you prefer, over lipstick too for a more intense look. Looks beautiful with a tan! I have a review of these glosses here.
If you are wanting a more opaque gloss, without the need for lipstick, then my choice would be the Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in First Date* (£5.99). This bright baby pink is a lovely choice for spring and having a fairly thick (non gloopy!) consistency means it’s lasting power is great too! I love Tanya’s glosses, they are great quality at an affordable price and tastes like strawberries too! I have a full review of Tanya’s Lip and Nail range here.
My final pick for Spring is the Clarins Gloss Prodigue in Coral Tulip* (£18), which is part of their Opalescence Collection which I reviewed here. It is a beautiful coral (my favourite!) gloss with a golden shimmer running though it. Super glossy, hydrating and non-sticky makes this a beautiful gloss that will take you right through to summer too.
