I’ve been on a bit of a mission recently to find my perfect black liquid liner, and I think I finally have! There have been a few that came close such as the Pixi Lash Line Ink (review here), the L’Oreal Super Liner (mentioned here) and the Collection Extreme Liner (review here), but even though all of these were brilliant liners, my problem with them was that becasue they were felt tip liners, they dried out extremely quickly. I tried to overcome this with my little trick using gel liner, but the nib only keeps it sharpness for so long!
The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper is different, the ‘nib’ is actually a brush! This makes application amazingly easy, even for the novice out there, and makes it so much more precise than a felt tip liner. I am always in awe of Tanya Burr when she manages to draw the finest of lines across her lash line with liquid liner and wonders how she does it? With this, I can actually do it too and can achieve the most perfect winged liner ever. Because the tip is a fine brush, it doesn’t drag, instead just glides across the lashline creating a precise line. The formula is amazing too, it stays put all day and doesn’t fade, transfer or run even in warm climates.
I cannot really find fault with this and even after owning for nearly two months, it is still going strong…no more dried out liners, yay!
This costs $18 (approx. £11) from Sephora, so definitely one to put onto your wishlish for that next Sephora haul.
