Welcome to my latest eye cream love, the First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy, which seriously manages to brighten my eyes each morning. If like me, you have late nights (too much social media!) and early mornings (kids and/or work!), you will more than likely suffer with some sort of dark circles or puffiness. Although I don’t really suffer from the latter, dark circles are something that bothers me and am always looking to brighten my under-eye area.
This is the first product I have tried from First Aid Beauty and it has seriously impressed me. The
Eye Duty Triple Remedy claims to instantly erase dark circles while delivering serious, long-term skincare benefits to the orbital eye area. It has a stainless steel applicator which is meant to mimic the shape of the pinkie finger to stimulate the under-eye area, whilst blending the product into the skin. I have really been enjoying using this applicator each morning, it is very cooling and soothing on the skin and help to smooth the product into the skin. I find that I do need to pat it in with my finger after using this applicator as it takes a while to work it in, but nevertheless it really does wake up my eyes!
The cream itself is salmon coloured tint and contains light reflecting particles which instantly brightens the eye area and gives the appearance of a good nights sleep. The tint does a great job at correcting any blueness under the eyes and I have noticed that I don’t use as much concealer when I use this! It has a nice consistancy, not too thick or too thin and blends easily. It contains retinal palmitate which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, whilst glycerin hydrates and plumps. Caffiene and liquorice root diminish under eye puffiness and dark circles and finally coralline (red algae) extract soothes the eye area and reduces redness.
This can be used both day and night, although I have just been using it in the morning for its brightening effects. Even though it contains ingredients to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, I prefer to use a cream without a tint at night, my current favourite is still the Indeed Labs Eysilix. I really recommend this if you need to fake yourself a good nights sleep, it does wonders!
Available in the US ($36) from Sephora and in the UK (£26) from Beauty Bay.
