As part of their new Ladylike Autumn collection, Clarins have released six cream-to-powder eyeshadows, which I have become obsessed with! The Ombrè Matte Eyeshadows* (£19) are described as a new cream-to-powder texture that offers the comfort and smoothing effect of a cream, with the fine quality and hold of a powder.

The formula is just divine, and like nothing I have really tried before. It doesn’t feel at all like a traditional cream eyeshadow (eg. Mac Paintpot), but has a unique texture that is creamy smooth and velvety to the touch, yet looks feels like a powder on the eyes. They are so buttery soft and creamy, they can be applied with either your fingertip or with a brush and blended onto the eye. Because of their cream-to-powder formula, they blend so easily and do not have any fallout, so you can create a smokey eye easily without the worry of any mess! I have three out of the six shades 02 Nude Pink, 04 Rosewood and 06 Earth.

Nude Pink is described perfectly and is a little lighter than my skintone, so great for a wash of colour all over the lid. Rosewood is a cool-toned taupe with slight purple undertones which I have been wearing through my crease. Earth is a more warm-toned chocolate brown which probably suits my colouring a little better than Rosewood and I have been wearing this in the outer corner of my eye and also blended though the crease. All three shades are a gorgeous selection of neutrals, which are perfect for the coming season, they blend together like a dream and give a very polished matte finish.

The most remarkable thing about these shadows though are their longevity, they are seriously amazing! I applied these at 8am and remember looking at my eyes at 3pm and they had seriously not creased one bit. Even after twelve hours, there were hardly any signs of wear which is extremely impressive after a day in the city!

These eyeshadows have seriousy wowed me, and I can see myself getting a lot of wear from these very wearable shades, even after the Autumn season.
