NYX is not a brand I had ever tried until I came to live the US, but a small obsession came about after I tried their Butter Glosses, which I am still yet to review (sorry!). Everything about them are just incredible, so when I saw that ULTA Beauty had 40% off, I decided to pick up a few more products to see if they were as good.
I picked up another Butter Gloss, but a more autumnal shade called Raspberry Pie which is beautiful. These glosses are seriously the best I have tried from the drugstore, creamy and glossy, non-sticky and have great colour pay-off. To compliment this and my other plum/berry lipsticks, I bought the Lip Liner in Prune as I don’t own one in this shade and thought it would be very useful this season. I also got the shade Nude Pink, which I know will compliment a lot of lipsticks in my collection and it was only $2!
Another lip product that I have heard good reviews about is the Soft Matte Lip Cream, which I got in the shade Buenos Aires. This is a lovely peachy pink colour (my favourite!) which is creamy when applied but sets matte without drying your lips at all. On the subject of peachy pinks, I should mention the Powder Blush in Mauve which I also bought. It leans more pink than peach but has quite a muted tone to it which looks very natural when applied.
Finally, I picked up the Wonder Pencil in Medium. This is a product I had never heard of so it was a bit of an impulse buy, but it is a multi-use pencil that can be used to conceal, brighten and line. I haven’t used this yet, but it is definitely an intriguing product so I shall let you know my thoughts once I have tested it out.
All of these together only cost me $17, which is just over £10 so an absolute bargain for six products that on first impressions look very impressive. I cannot wait to try them out properly and bring you some reviews shortly.
