There is only one brush I need for all my concealing needs and that is the Real Techniques Setting Brush, I seriously don’t know what I did before I had this brush in my life!
It is just the perfect size, shape and density to really buff concealer into the skin giving a seamless finish. I love it most for blending my under eye concealer which is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, (review here), which it does it effortlessly, and by using this, I find the concealer doesn’t sit in any fine lines. The synthetic hairs are also super soft, so it doesn’t aggravate the undereye area either.
I also use it for buffing in concealer on blemishes, for this I use the Make-Up Forever Full Cover Concealer (review here), and after I have patted the concealer in with my fingertips, I then go in with the Setting Brush to get a flawless finish. I find it also very useful if I have a very large blemish to add a touch of powder to the blemish, before going in with the concealer again to really get that blemish hidden!
Of course, it can also be used for the controlled use of setting powder on the face, such as the T-zone or under the eyes and it is perfect size for adding highlighter to the tops of the cheekbones too!
It really is a little gem of a brush that everyone should have in their brush collection. Available from ULTA Beauty ($7.99) or Boots (£8.99) Look Fantastic (£6.99) and Superdrug (£7.99).
