With all the berrys, plums and red shades of lipstick around at the moment, I decided to try something a little different for this time of year. Bourjois has a newly launched shade of their Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks, which were very hyped up on their release earlier in the year, and rightly so. The creamy formula glides over the lips leaving them with a matte, velvety finish which is so longwearing, they really are quite something.
The new shade to the collection is ‘Happy Nude Year’, and I have to say the name alone sold me this one! However, it is a little misleading as I wouldn’t say it was a nude at all, it is actually more of a warm-toned rosy pink, which I was delighted to find very flattering on me. I think the warm tones suit my complexion well and the colour for me is extremely wearable. It is a good in between shade, not too bright and not too nude, you look as though you have made an effort but its not overly dramatic!
You don’t essentially need a lipliner with this, but for extra definition, I found that Rimmel East End Snob matched quite well to this shade.
