I can’t believe that this is my last monthly favorites post of the year, this year has flown! December has been a crazy hectic month for me, with lots of guests visiting us in New York for the festive season, which means I haven’t posted as regularly as I like! Despite the crazy times, I have still been trying and loving loads of new products, which I am excited to tell you about!
There have been quite a few eye make-up favorite this month, lets start with the Lorac Pro Palette, which has been on my wish list for a while now, and recently it was on sale for a mere $31.50, which I just couldn’t say no to. The rumors are true, this palette is just perfection…the mixture of shimmer and matte shades which are buttery soft are a dream to apply and blend and the color selection is just amazing. I know now what all the hype is about, I literally haven’t worn anything else on my eyes this month. Expect a full review asap!
To brighten my eyelid and keep these shadows lasting for hours, I have been loving using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight, which is tinted a champagne color which really lifts the lid color and intensifies the shadow you chose to wear over it. Wearing this underneath the Lorac shadows means that my shadow still looks perfect by the end of a long day!
In a recent points perk at Sephora, I got my hands on a Tarte gift set, which included their Gifted Mascara. I was so excited to try this as seen lots of YouTubers rave about this recently and WOW it is good. I seem to be saying this a lot about mascaras recently, but I cannot tell you how good this one is. I love everything about it, it gives me the most amazing false looking lashes (even my hairdresser asked if they were my own the other day!), it gives me the length, drama and volume I like, doesn’t flake or smudge and the brush makes it a dream to apply. It is love!
The final eye-related product I have been loving is the Benefit Gimme Brow, which having sparse brows has been a god send. I run the tiny brush through my brows after filing them in, which not only sets them in place but literally provided me with bushier brows than I have ever dreamed of. It contains fibers in the gel that adheres to the skin and hair creating fullness and texture. If you have sparse brows like me, you need this in your life!
I am a nude/pinky/peach lip type of girl, I reach for these sorts of colors above everything else as they are so easy to wear and perfect for everyday. The Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic was sold out for ages, but I recently managed to get my hands on it and literally cannot put it down. Tanya’s lipglosses have the most incredible formula and this has got to be my favorite of the colors I have tried. Thick, yet non-sticky, smooth and creamy to apply, tastes like strawberries and above all long lasting. This peachy pink gloss is beautiful, looks equally as good with a smokey eye or natural look.
The L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream has been superb at keeping my redness at bay. Its green tint evens out my skintone amazingly well and provides me with a light coverage which I love to wear when I work out as it is so light that you feel you have noting on your skin. I have a full rave review here.
Now winter is well and truly here, the constant switch between the cold outside and warmth inside plays havoc with my skin so need to keep it hydrated. On my body I have been using the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil as a little treat each morning which I wrote about here and has really been a delight to use keeping my limbs soft and smooth and hydrating my skin simultaneously. On my face I have been slathering on the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream* each morning which I just cannot get enough of. It is a thick rich cream which I initially thought may be a little heavy but it really plumps and hydrates my skin, making my skin glowy and radiant. Charlotte’s magic has really got me captivated, is there nothing this woman can do wrong?
