January Favourites

January Favourite - Glamglow Supercleanse, Glamglow Thirstymud, Mac All That Glitters and Texture, Diptyque Eau Duelle, Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer, Maybelline Master Conceal

So January has been coooold, but besides the blizzard of 2015 never really arriving, it did bring quite a lot of snow! This with the beautiful sunshine too, allowed me to snap my monthly favorites picture on location (well outside my apartment!) for a festive vibe! With all the new releases for Spring 2015 and the lovely presents I received for Christmas, there have been a lot of products I have loved this month but I have really had to narrow it down. I would like to give a special mention to Mac Plumful, this gorgeous lipstick is just the perfect plum shade and was meant to be here in my favorites, but I forgot to bring it with me when taking my photos. I have however written a post all about it, which you can read here

I really have been having a bit of a Glamglow moment, with two of their products making it into this months favorites. The first is their brand new Supercleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser which I think is amazing! It is a mud to foam/cream cleanser that deep cleans your skin without stripping it or drying it out. My face feels so much cleaner and all my jaw line acne that was causing me bother has totally disappeared. My skin feels less congested, more balanced and generally a lot happier. I use this every night now and have a feeling it will be in my skincare routine for a while to come! Check out my full review here

The second Glamglow product that has really wowed me this month is the Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment, which I have been using every other night in place of my moisturizer. The constant change between sub-zero (Celsius) temperatures and the heating on full blast can really dehydrated the skin. Applying this overnight, means that I wake up with skin that feels plump and hydrated and it has the most gorgeous tropical scent to it that makes me think of holidays every time I apply it. It is fairly similar to the Origins Drink Up Overnight Mask (which I also love and is great for flights as it comes in a tube), but I think I slightly prefer the Glamglow one now as it gets fully absorbed into the skin without leaving a layer on the skin like the Origins does. A great skincare staple for the Winter months and Glamglow also do great sample packs if you want to try it out for yourself which you can find out about here

Since Christmas, I have been addicted to spritzing myself with Diptyque Eau Duelle, which is a gorgeous vanilla based perfume, with the warmth of frankincense and spices that makes it sophisticated rather than sickly. The scent lingers for hours and is just so good, you really need to test out this one if you have never smelt it before! Check out my Diptyque discoveries here

For make-up I have been enjoying a light bronzed eye, with the combination of Mac Eyeshadows in All That Glitters all over the lid and Texture in the crease. It creates a beautiful glow to the eyes which I have been seriously loving this month, see it in action here. On my cheeks, it has all been about the Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer in Carrie & Big. Too Faced make the most incredible bronzers and this one is no exception, especially as it comes with the addition of a beautiful peach blush which adds a touch of brightness whilst creating warmth from the bronzer. This is new for Spring and I love the heart shaped packaging which is fitting for Valentines! Find out more about this little beauty in my full review here

Finally, is my top buy from the drugstore, the Maybelline Full Cover Concealer, which I have been using religiously all month. It has the most beautiful consistency which can be used both under the eyes and on blemishes/redness which blends into the skin so easily. It doesn’t crease under the eyes and stays put for hours, I am super impressed with this formulation and it is definitely a great dupe for the Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer.
