Nail Art is not really my kind of thing if I’m honest, I really don’t have the patience for it! However I was kindly offered to try the OMG Nail Strips*, so I thought I would give it a go the easy way!
I chose the pink cow print as I thought it was a nice design to ease me into patterned nails. I also really liked a red design with white snowflakes on which would be great for Christmas but this had already sold out by the time I ordered! In the pack you get seven strips for each hand so you can choose the most appropriate size for your fingers. I could have done with a few more of the narrow strips for my fingers though as a couple of my nails were roughly the same size so not all the strips were an exact fit, but nevertheless they still did the job well.
Application was so easy, you literally peel off the plastic covering on the front and back and stick the strip to your nail, smoothing out all the bumps. As this was my first go at using these, I did have a couple of wrinkles initially, but this got better with practice. The strips actually have some stretch in them, which means they don’t tear or snag when applying, and I thought they applied very easily. I then trimmed of the excess with scissors, filed it down with a nail file and finished with a layer of top coat.
I love how instant these are, they took no time at all to apply and I didn’t have to worry about waiting for coats of varnish to dry. They lasted about three days for me before chips starting appearing which I find perfectly acceptable and removal was a dream as you literally just peel them off!
I really enjoyed trying out these OMG Nail Strips and think they are brilliant quality and perfect for when you want to change up your look. For me, I don’t think they are for everyday as I prefer a more traditional, one color nail, but I would definitely buy these again for a special occasion or event. I’ve got my eyes on the leopard print ones next!
