L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm

L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm

I use a deep conditioning mask on my hair at least once a week, without fail. Having fine, color treated hair that gets further torment from heat styling, I need a mask to combat the damage! I was previously using the Oribe Masque for Beautiful Color, and although I loved this mask, the price of it it was just too much!

Whilst browsing in the drugstore, I spotted the L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm which claims to repair up to one year of damage in one use (in conjunction with the rest of the range!). It has been specially formulated for damage, over-processed and chemically treated hair and helps fight the five signs of damage: split ends, weak, rough, dull, dehydrated. I hadn’t heard anything about this, but L’Oreal is a hair brand I can trust so thought for the bargain price of $4.50 (it was on offer!), it was worth giving a go!

After shampooing and squeezing as much water out of my hair as possible, I apply a generous amount to the lengths of my hair and leave it to do its thing whilst I get on with the rest of my shower, allowing it to absorb. After about five minutes, I rinse it out and style my hair as normal.

I am impressed with the L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm, it really does a nice job at conditioning my hair, leaving it soft and manageable. One thing that I hate with some masks is that they can either weigh down my hair, leaving it a bit greasy looking or in contrast, leaving it so super soft that it gets very static and completely unmanageable. This mask does neither of these, but leaves it feeling soft, smooth, healthy and best of all, easy to style and manage after use.

Obviously I know that a good trim, lack of heat and chemicals are the best method of repair but whilst I do have it trimmed regularly, I am not giving up the rest, so this is is one of the ways I like to minimize the damage without breaking the bank!
