I have done a little bit of shopping this past week, too many snow days stuck indoors has made me a bit spendy! What else is a girl to do? I have bought some make-up which you can expect to see here fairly soon, however, when it comes to skincare and hair products, I like to give them a longer trial of about a month before voicing my opinions! I am never hasty when it comes to reviewing skincare, as I know too well myself how reviews can make you spend your hard earned cash and I want them to be as honest as possible.
First up, I am treating my hair to the Kerastase Ciment Thermique, a resurfacing, reinforcing milk for weakened hair. When I went to the hairdressers last week there was a section of my hair that had completely snapped off, yikes! I do like to look after my hair, so I am not sure if it is too much processing, straightening or the contestant change in temperature causing weakness in my hair, but my hairdresser suggested this product would help. You just take a small amount and run it through the lengths of you hair before blow drying as it is heat activated. It aims to strengthen and repair your hair from the inside out whilst repairing the outer layer. I have to say, I am loving this so far, it leaves my hair smooth and bouncy and I really trust Kerastase products, so hopefully it will work wonders, I will report back! After I bought this I saw that Look Fantastic has 20% off Kerastase at the moment with free worldwide delivery, amazing (I ordered shampoo instead)!
A new exciting launch for me is the Pixi Glow Mist, an all over glow-mist for a radiant, dewy effect. As a huge fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic (I also just restocked on this!), as well as hydrating facial sprays, I needed to give this a whirl. Its early days so I don’t want to sing its praises just yet, but I love the spa-like scent it has to it, which is beautifully hydrating and is perfect as a pick me up throughout the day. I can definitely see this one being a favorite…watch this space!
Finally, on recommendation from beauty guru Sali Hughes, I bought the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum. I absolutely need a hydrating serum in my skincare routine, my dehydrated skin literally screams out for it and I apply it every morning before my moisturizer without fail. The extreme temperatures here in New York at the moment, is playing havoc with my skin so I need to ensure that it is properly hydrated to keep it on an even keel. This serum is lightweight, absorbs quickly and gives my skin that drink it needs. I think this is going to be a winner!
Stay tuned for reviews of these products coming up next month!
