I love New York, but it is seriously no good for my feet! In the summer they were dry and cracked through continuous sandal wearing and hot weather, and now in the freezing cold winter, they are even worse! I don’t really want to gross you out by describing the state of my feet, but they are (or rather were!) extremely dry, flaky and cracked, which I couldn’t seem to heal. Foot creams that have been pretty effective in the past such as The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue or the Scholl Cracked Heel Repair Cream, have not even touched the sides! I was desperate, I needed a miracle product!
Origins Reinventing The Heel ($24.50) is a foot balm-like cream that had amazing reviews on their website, so in for a penny, I decided to give it a go! It is a thick, rich cream that has a gorgeous menthol aroma to it which is so refreshing on application. It contains Salicylic Acid to slough away rough skin, Shea Butter to smooth cracks and Rose Fruit and Jojoba Oils to soothe.
This has literally saved my feet, after just a few days of massaging it in twice a day, my feet are soft and smooth again, the flaky patches has disappeared and the cracks (yuk!) are healing. I have been using it for just over a week now and my feet are almost as good as new! I cannot believe how quickly my feet have been restored to their former glory, I am one happy customer! As it is quite a thick balm, it does take a bit of hard work squeezing it out of the tube, but the results are 100% worth the effort! This, I am sure will become a lifesaver once again when Summer comes around, it is amazing!
