Some may deem it unnecessary to wear even a scrap of make up to the gym or a work out session, but if you are like me and just need a little something on your face before walking out the door, then here is my five product minimal make up that won’t mask the skin too much but still adds a touch of coverage and definition where you need it.
Firstly I start with the L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream (the US version is called the L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream and is exactly the same). This is a very lightweight base, that does an amazing job of counteracting any redness in your skin whilst adding a touch of warmth. I have a full review of this here. This is all I really need in terms of a base product as I don’t like to wear too much, however, if I have any really nasty blemishes, I will add a touch of Maybelline Master Conceal to cover them up. Personally I have to lightly fill in my brows as they are ridiculously sparse, and the Anastasia Brow Wiz is the best to create a natural look as the nib is super fine. Brows really do frame the face, and I feel weird if I have no eyebrows, but if you are blessed with fuller brows, this would be totally unnecessary for the gym! I then add a touch of mascara which really should in all honesty be waterproof to prevent any Panada eye situations, but actually the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara has been doing a great job at giving my eyes some definition. I love that it is dramatic in one coat, so you don’t have to apply too much, and doesn’t seem to smudge even when sweat is pouring out of my eyelids! Finally I add a slick of my favorite Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm, to keep my lips supple and hydrated throughout my workout session!
