First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy

At the end of a New York Winter, my skin was seriously suffering, the constant battle between baltic temperatures and red hot heating left my skin much drier than normal, and not just on my face, my feet were a terrible sufferer of the Winter and I also get patches of eczema on my fingers in extreme weather. My lovely friend Deborah, surprised me one day with a huge tub of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy, who said it was great at tackling dry and irritated skin.

The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is described as a skin protectant with antioxidant booster which can be used to hydrate dry, parched skin, relieve minor irritation and itching due to eczema and other conditions. It contains colloidal oatmeal, ceramics and soothing eucalyptus oil for immediate relief and visible improvement for distressed skin. I also like that it contains no parabens, harsh chemicals or colorants and is fragrance free and safe for sensitive skin.

Despite being safe for sensitive skin, it does contains Shea Butter (half way down the ingredients list) and also eucalyptus oil (last on the ingredients list) which are two ingredients that I know my skin (on my face) can’t really tolerate. They are however, not high on the ingredients list, so I may have been ok, but I didn’t really want to take the risk of a massive breakout on my face. If you are not sensitive to these ingredients then it would make an amazing moisturizer.

Even though I haven’t used it on my face, it has really come into its own on nearly every other part of my body and I really do think that this cream is actually something quite special. It is a fairly thick but lightweight cream that absorbs instantly and I have now used pretty much everywhere! I have used it to relieve eczema on my fingers, it provides relief to dry areas such as elbows, knees and the top of my feet. More recently where I over did it in the sun in Mexico, it has been a great moisturizer for my shoulders and forearms where I got too much sun. I used it on my sons face where he caught the sun on his nose and cheeks, I put it on when he went to sleep and by the morning his face was totally soothed. My husband also had a nasty rash on his leg and this little pot of magic was the only thing that soothed the itch!

The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is definitely one of those products you need to have in for skin emergencies, it really does an amazing job and soothing irritations and parched skin. I think it would also be amazing for dry skin types too that really need an intense dose of hydration. I have the largest 6oz pot ($30), but it also comes in a smaller 1oz ($6.50) sachet and 2oz ($12) tube that would be great to pop in your handbag or for travel. I decanted this into one of my travel stacking pots for my holiday to Mexico and was so glad it came with me to, I will be taking it on all future trips now!
