New from Tarte this summer is their Amazonian Butter Lipstick in the shade Park Avenue Princess, a nude shade that is sheer in formula, so immediately caught my attention as I knew it would be perfect for summer. I seem to have a slight obsession with sheer lipsticks at the moment, they are just so easy to apply, fuss-free and give your lips a beautiful color without being too intense. When I saw that Tarte had newly release a nude shade into their collection of Amazonian Butter Lipsticks, I was all over it as nudes are really my go-to shade for everyday. Park Avenue Princess fits in line with their collection of bronzing products, making it the perfect choice to compliment a healthy summer glow.
The packaging is very pretty with the bronze and gold detailing, the only thing that cheapens it a little is it is made from cardboard rather than plastic, so after a couple of weeks at the bottom of your handbag, I don’t think it would look as nice. It is however the product inside that matters really and I have to say I absolutely love it.
To me it is the perfect nude shade, not too peachy or pink and find it very easy to wear. As it is a sheer lipstick, it is not that intense on the lips, but I have been pairing it with a nude lip liner such as Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk or NYX Nude Pink for slightly more color and definition, which I have been wearing on nearly a daily basis!
The formula of the Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick is as the name would suggest, it is very creamy and buttery to apply and feels so comfortable and hydrating on the lips. It has the same moisturizing qualities as a lip balm has, making it the ultimate handbag accessory for the warmer months ahead when you lips crave some TLC! It has a slight minty scent to it which feels refreshing on application and gives the lips a subtle tingle.
If you are a nude fan, then I think you will love this lipstick for summer!
The Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Park Ave Princess is available from Sephora ($17).
