I have to admit, I have only actually been watching Jaclyn Hill You Tube videos for a very short while, but one thing that completely stood out on all of her videos was her stunning highlight that was beaming from her cheekbones. She then revealed that she had partnered with Becca Cosmetics to create this amazing highlighter that she had been wearing for the past few months, called Champagne Pop. I knew I had to get my hands on this, so the day it was released I snapped it up on the Sephora website and a couple of days later it arrived in all its shining, shimmering glory!
The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop is seriously the most amazing highlight that I have ever used, it is just perfection! It is a shimmering champagne gold color with peachy pink undertones that has a soft pearlised glow and is designed to suit every skintone. It is warm in tone but because of the peach and pink tones in it, I think it really would flatter all complexions. The powder has the most beautiful creamy consistency that feels silky soft to the touch, making it very easy to blend into the skin. And the pigmentation, is just incredible, one swipe of this makes your face come alive and give you the most unbelievable glow, it is incredible.
I have going a little bit crazy with this highlighter, literally applying it wherever I can! Of course it looks the best on the high points of the cheekbones giving you that real candlelit glow, but I have also been using it down the bridge of my nose, under my brows and even my collar bones and shoulders for a beautiful summery vibe. It doesn’t look at all powdery or chalky and lasts incredibly well on the skin even in the humid heat of New York!
I even prefer it to my previous favorite, the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Highlighter. Compared to that, Champagne Pop is way more intense and more golden in color. Some may find it too much for daytime wear, but I love the way the light catches the pigments in it, giving your face the ultimate glow and dimension to the cheeks.
I have honestly nothing bad to say about this highlighter, apart from that it is limited edition which is annoying but maybe they may make it permanent (pretty please Becca!), so that we can forever buy this wonderful product! I may have to stockpile just in case!
Available from Sephora ($38).
