One of the most exciting launches of the summer for me has to be the new Chanel Les Beiges Summer 2015 collection, I had been eyeing it up long before it hit stores a couple of weeks ago. The summery mix of warm neutrals and soft beiges and pinks had me the moment I laid eyes on it. Lucky for me, it was my birthday just after the launch so I might of mentioned to my husband that there was a couple of items that I
needed would like! Along with the two items I have, there are also four neutral nail polishes, two lip glosses and three cream blush sticks in this collection, all of which complement one another and would create a beautiful healthy summer neutral look.
Lets start with the Chanel Les Beige Healthy Glow Multi-Color Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Powder in 02 Mariniere. An exceptionally long name for essentially a bronzing powder that can both be used lightly all-over to give that post-holiday sun kissed glow, or more as a traditional bronzer to create warmth and depth to the contours of the face.
I have been using it all over as it does a beautiful job of warming up my complexion in a very natural way. The powder is finely milled and blends into the skin easily so it doesn’t look as though you have just applied a load of powder. I normally go for much deeper bronzers, but have seriously been loving this for the healthy glow it gives to my entire face. I love that it also contains SPF 15, so you are able to top up on your sun protection easily throughout the day without ruining your makeup. I haven’t been a day without it since getting this!
My next choice from this collection was the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Hydrating Lip Balm, which for me is the perfect summer lip color. A sheer pinky nude that is very subtle, but adds a touch of color that compliment any summer look. It is perfectly hydrating and adds a gorgeous sheen to the lips, whilst leaving them soft and smooth. It is beautiful enough on its own, but for extra definition, I have been pairing it with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillowtalk, which compliments it well. The sleek back packaging looks so chic too, making it a definite handbag staple this summer.
