Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil

I bought the Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil when I first found out that I was pregnant in an effort to keep my skin firm and supple through the early weeks of pregnancy. It has amazing reviews online and I knew at this stage my skin wouldn’t stretch much, but just wanted to keep things as firm as possible.

It is a fairly thick oil that has an amazing spa-like smell to it as it contains 100% plant extracts such as geranium, rosemary and mint to help firm, tone and improve elasticity, smoothing the appearance of stretch marks. A little goes a long way with this, and applying this morning and night, the whole bottle lasted nearly two months. It didn’t absorb immediately but it felt nice massaging it into my belly and leaving it to absorb. I would just like to mention that I had to stop using this at night as it stained my white bedding, so just be cautious if using this with white bedding or clothing! It does say that you are meant to shower this off, so perhaps that was my mistake, but I felt I wanted the oil to fully absorb.

Pregnant or not pregnant, this is a fantastic body product if you want to firm up areas that need a little toning. After using this for a few weeks, the skin on my belly (the only place I used this oil) definitely felt more toned. I have some old stretch marks from my first pregnancy and it honestly faded the appearance off them, to the point when I hardly noticed them. My skin looked firmer and it definitely smoothed out the skin.

I would highly recommend this oil to anyone, it would make a good pre-holiday treatment to firm up any problem areas and is amazing during/after pregnancy. I will be trying out some more stretch mark and firming creams during my pregnancy, but will definitely repurchase this at some stage, I think it will be fantastic at firming the skin after the baby is born too!
