Burberry has recently launched into Sephora, which excites me no end, yes they sell it in other stores but you can’t beat Sephora’s two day shipping, free samples and VIB exclusives. Along with all the new releases for Autumn/Winter, one Sephora exclusive is the Burberry Mini Beauty Box which retails for only $32 and is a fantastic way a trying out some of their most popular products.
In the box you get:
– 0.08oz Light Glow Contouring Powder in Earthy Blush No. 7
– 0.035oz Burberry Kisses Lipstick in Military Red No. 109
– 0.17oz Fresh Glow Fluid Base in Nude Radiance No. 1
– Mini Kubuki Brush
The product that I was most excited about was the Light Glow Natural Blush in Earthy Blush. After watching Wendy Rowe (Burberry’s makeup artist) use this to sculpt the cheeks as part of the Autumn/winter runway look, I have been wanting it ever since. It is not your usual contour powder, as it has more subtlety to it and can be blended onto the cheeks for a warm glow. In the pan it looks like nothing, but I love the way it adds subtle dimension to the cheeks. It also doubles up as a great transitional color for the eyes You get a decent amour of product in this mini (the same as one of their eyeshadows) and the gorgeous mini kabuki brush is great for application and is really good quality too! This is definitely going to be a Autumn favorite for me!
Now red lipstick isn’t really my thing on a daily basis, although it does have its place on occasions, so this mini Burberry Kisses Lipstick in Miltary Red is the perfect size for me as I will never ever get through a full size red lippy! It suits my coloring well and the best thing about Burberry Kisses lipsticks is that you can build them up depending on how intense you want the color, so one coat for a red-a-phobe like me is perfect. The formula of these lipsticks are great, they are so smooth to apply and feel very comfortable to wear. I have my eye on Nude Pink, which is a bit more up my street.
Finally, is the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base which is an illuminating fluid that you can either mix with your foundation or apply directly to the skin before foundation. I love adding a subtle glow to my base for extra radiance so this is a great addition to the box. I don’t find it as luminous as the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow which I featured in my August Favourites, however it prevents foundation from looking too flat and blurs minor imperfections.
I love this set from Burberry, ever since trying their products for the first time earlier in the year I have become obsessed with the brand, their products are really great quality and I love the naturally sophisticated look they achieve. As a Brit living in New York, I can’t help being loyal to British brands too!
