Lipliners are making in their way into everybody’s makeup up bag of late, once seen as unnecessary by many, they are now definitely one of the must-have makeup items to own. Mac Lipliners seem to be the most loved pencils around, but if that doesn’t suit your budget, their are a lot of drugstore alternative that do the job just as well.
Pinky nudes are some of the most favored shades around as they compliment many nude and pink lipsticks and give that added definition to a natural pout. You can use them to add definition to part of the lip where needed, around the whole perimeter of the lips or even use it on the entire lip as a base, or with a slick of lip balm instead on lipstick.
These three pinky nudes are some of my most favorite from the drugstore:
Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Sweet Pink – the palest of the three and probably the one with the driest formula, but also very long-lasting. This looks pretty all across the lips with a touch of lip balm for a pretty, natural look.
NYX Lip Liner in Nude Pink – this warm toned liner seems to go with a lot of lipsticks in my collection as it is the perfect mid-toned pink. It has a very similar formulation to Mac lip liners and is probably my most worn and favorite of the three.
Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Eastend Snob – this has a lovely creamy formula which makes it very easy to apply to the lips and blend. Probably the closest in shade (although a touch darker) to the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillowtalk that everyone is obsessed with. I am not so keen on the retractable pencil as it has a tendency to snap but apart from that it is a great shade to have in your collection.
Do you own any of these? What are your favorite drugstore lip liners?
