During the recent Sephora VIB Rouge sale, I picked up a couple of eye makeup products that I have been coveting for a while, and while there was the 20% discount, I just couldn’t resist picking them up, and am so happy that I did as I am really loving them so far and think I will get a lot of use out of them.
The first product I picked up was the Too Faced Natural Matte Palette, I have really been enjoying wearing matte shadows recently, I think they look quite sophisticated and are suited more to the colder months. I have actually never tried Too Faced shadows but always hear rave reviews and I can now see why. They are buttery without the fall-out and blend so seamlessly. The warm color palette suits my complexion and green eyes well and there are plenty of looks that can be created with this for both day and night. I will of course do a more in-depth review once I have used this a little more, but on first impressions, its love!
I also bought the Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in the shade 11 Rose Ashes, which is a beautiful peachy rose gold with a copper and pink subtle metallic finish to it. It is like nothing else I own and is just beautiful when it catches the light. I love how this cream shadow applies with a doe foot applicator, it really makes things easy for you to then go in and blend across the lid. Once set, this shadow does not budge or crease all day long, it is seriously amazing stuff!
Finally I got myself a new crease brush, the Nars Precision Contour Brush #44 which is a brush I haven’t really heard much about. It is designed for precision work along the crease, which is something I have been after in a brush for a while. Although I love my Mac 217, I prefer it for blending and was after something to apply shadow exactly where I wanted it. This brush is the perfect density, firm yet soft and amazing for creating gorgeous definition in the crease and for smoking out the lower lash line.
All these products are favorites already and I can’t wait to experiment with them some more!
