November Favourites

November Favourites

Well November has literally passed me by, the leaves have fallen from the trees and winter is nearly upon us. Now Thanksgiving has come and gone here in the States, we can now focus purely on Christmas and I am so excited for all the festivities, even more so that my baby girl will be arriving in less than two weeks, so I really have lots to be excited for!! If you need some inspiration for Christmas gifts, make sure you check out my Holiday Gift Guides (Under $50, Over $50 and Under $25).

I have tried some really great products this month, ones that I know I will continue using for a long time coming, so here are the products I have been loving during November:

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil
After loving the Nudestix Brow Stylus, I thought I would try out the popular Hourglass Brow Arch  to see how it compared as it has a similar shaped tip, which I found to be a great for quick and easy application. I think I love this even more than the Nudestix version  as the pencil is softer and you can get a more natural effect to the brows. I have the shade ‘warm blonde’ which is a great match for me and I love that it comes with a spoolie on the end, making your brow game all that quicker!

Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Palette
You may have seen me mention this in my Eye Makeup Haul post recently, but this palette is everything, I love it so much. It is a palette that consists of all matte shadows, there are three larger shadows which are intended to use as a base and then the smaller shadows can be used for the crease and outer corner. You can use then how you wish, but I followed one of the looks inside the guide that come with it and have been loving the combination of the middle row of shadows as an easy everyday look. These shadows are so buttery and easy to blend and they last on your eyes all day long. A great investment!

Nars Precision Contour Brush #44

To apply the Too Faced shadows (and for all crease work), I have been obsessed with my new Nars Eye Contour Brush, it is just the best! It is small and tapered so fits in the crease of your eye well to give you the definition exactly where you want it. I literally could not be without this brush now!

Mac Plumful Lipstick
This is not a new lipstick to me but one that I been reaching for a lot this month. I adore plum shades for the Autumn/Winter, and this mid-toned plum shade is extremely wearable and a color that I think would suit many. It has a lustre finish to it, so although nice and pigmented, it also appears very glossy on the lips and so feels very comfortable too.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria*

I am surprised how much I love this lipstick, as thought it was going to be very brown looking, however it is more of a beige-toned nude with a matte finish to it that looks very chic on the lips especially when paired with matte eyeshadows like the Too Faced palette above. It has quite the celebrity following and is the perfect alternative to a berry/plum lip this Autumn.

Pureology Haircare
I have been wanting to try Pureology for a while now, and recently got the Hydrate Shampoo and Perfect 4 Platinum Conditioner (the hydrate condoner was out of stock!). Pureology is formulated without sulphates so won’t strip your color, something that is essential to me with highlighted locks. I particularly love the Hydrate Shampoo which leaves my hair soft and hydrated without weighing down my fine hair and always seem to have a good hair day now!
