When I heard Mac was launching a limited edition ‘berry’ colored product especially for Black Friday, I just had to get involved. This Autumn especially I have really been loving all the plum/berry/burgundy lip colors and honestly cannot get enough of them. The latest launch from Mac is one of their Patentpolish Lip Pencils in the shade Berry Black Friday.
If you are not familiar with Mac Patentpolish Lip Pencils, they are a wind-up lip crayon that combines the comfort of a lip balm with the sheen of a gloss. They have a buildable color, so that you can layer more for maximum impact. I have not heard too much about these before so was intrigued about the formula, but I can honestly say that it is one of the nicest lip products I have tried for a while. If you like that sheer lipstick feeling like I do, but wished for more intensity then this is definitely for you. It goes on so slickly and feels extremely comfortable on the lips, yet has amazing color payoff and a gorgeous glossy shine. While it is not that long-lasting, about 2 hours on me (which I’m not overly bothered about), I absolutely love it!
Berry Black Friday is as the name would suggest, a blackberry shade which definitely has lots of purple in it, making it quite cool-toned. If you are looking for a vampy shade, but didn’t want anything too bold and intense then this may be right up your street as it is a great pick for the coming Winter months.
I shall definitely be trying out more Mac Patentpolish Lip Pencils too, especially as the upcoming Ellie Goulding collection has a couple of nude shades in it!
Have you tried Mac Patentpolish Lip Pencils? What shades would you recommend?
