I have loved January as I have been trying out so many new products! There have been that many favorites this month, I could have definitely included more, but narrowed it down to the products that I have literally been using on a daily basis since getting them.
Starting with skincare, my newest face spray love is the Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist which smells amazing and really hydrates my skin well, I really look forward to using it each morning and evening. Another rose scented product that I have been using a lot this month is the By Terry Baume de Rose, which has got to be the the most beautiful lip balm ever. I resisted buying this for so long, but finally picked it up on Cult Beauty before Christmas. It has SPF 15 so I always make sure I apply it each morning to protect my lips, and it leaves them plump, hydrated with a slight pink tint to them, I am obsessed!
If there is one product that has literally transformed my appearance this month then it is the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer, which does an amazing job over hiding my (very) dark circles I have had from having a newborn baby. I reviewed this is full here, but this seriously gets to work on correcting the blue tones so I look more alive each day. It has a lightweight formula so doesn’t crease and set with powder it lasts all day long!
Another life-changing product is the NOID Photography Fluid, which I have Stacey from Expat Make Up to thank for. This ‘Instagram filter’ as she so perfectly puts it gives the ultimate in radiance for your skin. I use it as a sort of primer before I apply foundation, and it leaves your skin glowing with luminosity, whilst it’s yellow tones neutralize any redness and blur imperfections too. I will be doing a full review of this very soon, so watch this space for more details!
And if my skin was not glowing enough, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit has also been giving me everything I need in terms of powder, bronzer and blush in one handy palette. I won’t ramble on too much about it as I have recently reviewed it here, but is definitely a great one to have in your collection if you can still get your hands on it!
Mac Cheek Pollen blush is what I have been using for blush. It is a warm nude blush that really warms up the skin giving an almost bronzy vibe to the cheeks. This and Spellbinder blush are part of the Faerie Whispers collection so are limited edition, I reviewed them recently here.
A palette that has been on my dream list for a while now is the Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage Eyeshadow Quad in Cocoa Mirage, which I excitedly got for Christmas this year. These shadows are amazing, they are buttery soft and blend so well that it actually makes applying shadow so easy. The combination of the four shades create the perfect smokey eye and really compliment my green eyes!
My latest lip obsession has been in the form of Mac Patentpolish Lip Pencil, which even though I didn’t discover until the end of November last year, it made it onto my Top 15 Discoveries of 2015 post, praise indeed! I have been wearing it most days before I fly out of the door as it is so quick and easy to apply, keeps your lips hydrated and gives a sheer yet glossy color to your lips that is so comfortable to wear. The shade Revved Up is a creamy peach color with golden shimmer running through it and even though this one is part of the Ellie Goulding Collection, it is also part of the permanent line up which I am so happy about as I can see me repurchasing this again!
Finally, a new launch this month which I am ecstatic about is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. Last year I went through countless Brow Wiz pencils as they are just the best to fill in my sparse brows. Then towards the end of the year, I tried the Hourglass and Nudestix brow pencils, both of which had the flat, slanted tip to them which I found made it so quick to fill in my brows as you can use the pencil flat and horizontal. Although I love both both of these pencils, I was was delighted with the Anastasia release, as the shade Taupe is the post perfect shade for my brows. I snapped it up immediately and have been using it daily since, it is the perfect shade and perfect design, I love it!
So there it is, I hope you are still with me! As I said, a lot of great products this month but I seriously love them all! What beauty products have you been loving this month?
