Mac Faerie Whispers Blushes

Mac Faerie Whispers Blushes - Cheek Pollen and Spellbinder

Mac is on fire at the moment with its new collections, everything they launch of late seems to be something that really appeals to me. Their latest collection, ‘Faerie Whispers’ is no exception and even though I could have bought a lot, lot more (foiled eyeshadows anyone?), I was restrained and settled on the limited edition blushes from the collection.

The two shades in question are Cheek Pollen and Spellbinder, both of which are right up my street as they are fairly neutral and easy to wear shades. Cheek Pollen is a warm nude shade that really warms up the complexion, it is quite similar to Gingerly which is a favorite of mine, although just a touch lighter. Spellbinder is described as a pastel yellow pink, although I would describe it as a pale coral  that is warm in tone and that suits the Spring vibe very well, by giving the cheeks a fresh pop of color to them. Both blushes have a satin finish, so they give the skin a beautiful luminosity without being shimmery in any way.

Mac blushes are definitely one of my favorites, they always apply evenly, blend well, and have a great longevity, and these are no exception. Both Cheek Pollen and Spellbinder are fairly pigmented  and smooth in texture so I found that they blended nicely into the skin and lasted well throughout the day.

These are limited edition but are still available (at the time of writing) from Nordstrom and the Mac website.
