The Anastasia Brow Wiz has been a staple of mine for a while now, the shade Taupe is the perfect shade for my fair brows and the tiny nib allows precise application. I have been through so many of them, they were becoming quite a habit. That was until I tried a more slanted brow pencil such as the likes of the Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus Pencil and Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, which I really enjoyed for their ability to create a good shape easily and the efficiency at which it was done! I actually wished for a combination of my favorite formulation and shade, combined with the slanted tip and I am so happy this has now launched!
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer is actually perfection. It has a triangular slanted tip similar to the Hourglass and Nudestix offerings, which I find so effective for creating a good arch on my sparse brows. You can use the pencil horizontally to create the shape and then flip it vertically to fill it in, which is particularly useful for the front of the brows, where it needs to be fuller. It is great for my sparse brows as it gives good coverage, yet still offers the precision I need.
The formula is similar to the Brow Wiz, as it easy to apply but also quite firm, which I find helps to create more of a precise shape and helps it last longer. I love the spoolie on the other end of the pencil, it combs the brows into place and also diffuses any harsh edges and is so handy to have on the other end. The shade Taupe is a great shades for blondes as it is light in shade, but also quite ashy so I find it compliments my coloring very well.
This is an amazing brow pencil and I think it has overtaken my love for the Brow Wiz, however if you don’t have much to fill in or prefer in drawing tiny brow hairs, then the Brow Wiz might be better suited to you. As I have fairly sparse brows, the Brow Definer makes the everyday task of perfecting them so much easier and quicker!
