So today is the day that Jaclyn Hill launches her new Champagne Collection with Becca Cosmetics. After the immensely popular launch of the Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector (review), which the online beauty community went crazy for, she has now launched a whole collection of Champagne Pop products, which will undoubtedly sell out in no time! Champagne Pop is now available in the poured (cream) and liquid version to go alongside Becca’s other Shimmering Skin Perfector products, but in addition there is also an eyeshadow palette, which I cannot wait to try and the piece de resistance, the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette! On the day of her launch party, she release a limited quantity of these palettes into Sephora, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one!
The palette itself is so pretty, decorated in white and gold it is definitely very summery. It is quite a substantial size and feels very sturdy, so I am hoping that it will protect the powders inside well, as they are renowned to break easily (my first champagne pop is in a loose powder pot after I dropped it!). Inside there is a large mirror and off course the powders themselves, three blush shades and two highlighters.
The blush shades from left to right are Rosé Spritz, Amaretto and Pamplemouse, and the highlighters or Shimmering Skin Perfectors as they are known, are of course Champagne Pop and also the brand new Prosecco Pop.
Rosé Spritz (Luminous Blush) is a soft peachy pink with pale golden shimmer.
Amaretto (Mineral Blush) is a matte toasted almond.
Pamplemousse (Mineral Blush) is a matte warm coral pink.
Champagne Pop (SSP) is a soft white gold with peachy pink undertones
Prosecco Pop (SSP) is a medium warm gold, apparently inspired by liquid gold!
All the shades are intended to mix with each other, so you are able to layer them and create your own custom built, illuminated glow. This is such a clever idea which makes this palette so versatile and so I have been experimenting with different combinations to create different looks. I am in love with Amaretto, which is quite a light bronzy shade and this looks amazing with Prosecco Pop, (which is much golden in tone that its predecessor) layered on the higher points of the cheek.
I love the combination of Rosé Spritz and Champagne Pop for a really luminous peachy pink glow and also both Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop together for a highlight to kill all other highlights, the glow you get from this is insane! I was initially a little unsure about Pamplemousse, as in the pan it looks a little bright for my tastes, but applied with a light hand it looks beautiful, especially when layered with Champagne Pop.
Of course, all the shades can be used individually, but I enjoy the experimentation aspect of combining shades. The powders themselves are extremely pigmented so I would suggest a light hand to start with and build them up to create your desired glow. They are easy to work with, in that they apply nicely and blend evenly, I actually use Jaclyn’s favorite highlighter brush the Morphe 501, which I can highly recommend as it is just the right size to add the right amount of product exactly where you need it!
This really is a stunning palette, that all highlighter lovers need in their collection! If you loved Champagne Pop, you really need to get your hands on the Champagne Collection Face Palette. It is available from today at 12pm EST at Sephora ($52), along with the rest of the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection!
