I haven’t done a favorites post for a few months now, which I have really missed, as for me it is like a little round up of the month and a chance for a little chat about everything I have been loving. I have however been posting more regularly on Instagram, so please come and follow me on there for daily updates, as I post about products I have bought and am trying out and will always include my favorite things on there! So if you have missed my favorites posts over the summer, be sure to check there for the odd flatlay or two!
Here are the products that I have been loving throughout September:
I bought this cleanser initially because the ‘milky jelly’ consistency of this really appealed to me, I thought it may be similar to the texture of the Oskia Renaissance Cleanser (all-time favorite cleanser), and actually it is pretty similar, minus the luxurious oily goodness that the Oskia provides. It is very lightweight, yet so effective in removing makeup and cleansing, although the latter is what I use it for and have been using it as my morning cleanser as I like the fuss free nature of it. It is a lovely gentle cleanser that I think would be suited to the most sensitive of skins as it leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated, without any tightness. It does not have any real scent to it, which some may not like, but for me, I love that it doesn’t break me out and is an effective gentle cleanser that doesn’t break the bank!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
I discovered Drunk Elephant skincare a few months ago when I was searching for a chemical free sunscreen (Umbra, which I love btw!) and I love their ethos that uses effective, non-toxic formulas that reset skin to a healthy state. The T.L.C. Framboos is a glycolic serum that refines and resurfaces the skin by removing dead skin cells for a more radiant complexion and even skintone. I use it most nights and have been loving the effects, my skin looks brighter and more radiant (even when I am sleep deprived) and it has bee really effective at evening out my skintone, whilst diminishing fine lines. Blemishes are kept at bay too, leaving my skin clearer and calmer. I am so impressed by Drunk Elephant and am excited to try more of their line!
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
When I got an email last month with details of this new brand, The Ordinary (part of Deciem, who’s brands include NIOD, Hylamide and Hand Chemistry), I was so excited about what they had to offer. The Ordinary is a collection of skincare treatments offering familiar, effective technologies positioned to raise pricing and communication integrity in skincare. So basically, their collection of skincare products use effective ingredients (that are often overpriced) that are super affordable, allowing everyone access to great skincare! Hyaluronic Acid is probably my most favorite skincare ingredient, that my dehydrated skin thrives on, so I thought I would give this $6.80 bottle a go! I use it each morning before moisturizing and I honestly think it is fantastic. It keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day, leaves the skin soft and doesn’t cause any irritations. I used to use the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum which is still my favorite, but this is a fifth of the price, so a great option for those on more of a budget! Check out their website, for a comprehensive guide to all of their products!
Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder Modern Mercury Highlighter
If you read my previous post last week, you will know how obsessed I am with this highlighter, it is sheer perfection. Everything about it its stunning, the beautiful rose gold shade, the glide on, non-powdery formula and of course you can’t ignore the packaging, which really makes this highlighter stand out from the crowd, Victoria has done a beautiful job! Unfortunately, this seems to be sold out everywhere now, but fingers crossed they will have a restock as it is definitely worth the investment!
Nudestix Magnetic Matte Eye Color in Fig*
The latest release from one of my favorite brands, Nudestix, are their matte eye crayons. As a lover of matte shadows, I was excited to see how these performed and I have to say, they are probably my favorite pencils from the brand. They apply well and blend really easily, I like to draw it on my lid and blend with a fluffy brush and once they set, they literally do not budge or crease all day! I am blown away by the quality of these and how easy they are to use, but lets just mention the shade Fig, the most gorgeous warm mid-toned brown with reddish undertones, which really makes my green eyes pop. It is the perfect shade for Fall and I will definitely be getting a lot of wear from this over the coming months. If you want to see this in action, I have done an Autumnal makeup look post which will be coming up next week, so stay tuned!
L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Noir Mascara
And finally, a new mascara that I have worn constantly this month is the L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Noir Mascara, which I was initially attracted too because of the leopard print packaging, but honestly this mascara is amazing! It has a full plastic brush with lots of bristles that really grip the lashes giving you both a lot of volume and length! The lady that washes the hair at my salon thought I had lash extensions, which just shows how dramatic this mascara is and for under $10, this is definitely very impressive.
