Tom Ford Honeymoon

Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Honeymoon

Tom Ford Honeymoon was released nearly a year ago now, but it’s immediate popularity meant that it was out of stock for the longest time. I managed to get my hands on it during the fall and its bronzy, burgundy tones really lends itself well to the autumnal colors. That said, because of the glowy, luminous finish they leave, I think this palette is a beautiful one all year round. I immediately gravitate to warm toned shadows and this palette couldn’t be more perfect as it has the light champagne and bronze shades that can be worn everyday but also the richer, deeper burgundy and rusty brown shades to amp up your look for the evening or for a completely different look. However you wish to wear it, all these shadows are insanely gorgeous and a worthy investment.

All four shadows in the quad are to some-degree shimmery (the lighter shades more so), but you needn’t worry about any crazy glitter or fall-out as these luxurious shadows create more of a luminous sheen rather than a full on sparkle. I normally like to wear a matte shadow through my crease, so initially I was worried that these shadows may look a bit shimmery but this is Tom Ford we are talking about here, so I needn’t have worried as all the shadows apply and blend beautifully with ease creating the most sultry smokey eye. Honeymoon is actually such an apt name for this palette as I can imagine wearing this palette on a summer beach vacation as they give a beautiful glowing look to the eyes and are not too heavy or flat, which is what sometimes puts me off wearing shadows on vacation!

I love wearing the lightest two shades together for a golden bronze look and then adding my favorite, the burgundy shade in the outer edge. This shade really changes the whole look, and gives a lot more depth and warmth and if you have green eyes like me, this shade will really make your eyes pop, its so pretty. I liken it to the enhance shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette (which is one of my all-time favorite shadows), as it has a similar vibe to it but you definitely have room for both of these palettes in your makeup bag! The darkest shade I only really use as a liner along the lower lash line and occasionally in the outer corner if I really want to create more of a smokey eye.

This is a such beautiful palette that keeps selling out fast, so grab it when you can! You can get it on backorder from Neiman Marcus here ($82).
