Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub

Wow, I know this scrub gets a lot of love online, but I didn't realise how yummy this was until I indulged in my very first tub a couple of weeks ago! Rebranded as part of the 'Smoothie Star' line, The Breakfast Scrub has also been repackaged to fit in-line with other Soap & Glory pot scrubs.

As you take off the lid, you instantly get hit with the yummy smell of maple syrup, it seriously takes a lot of will power not to scoop you hand in and taste it! This, plus bananas, almond and honey extracts, oats and golden sugar, makes its seriously delectable and reminds me of eating an American-style pancake breakfast, I am salivating at the thought!

Now, I am quite fussy when it comes to scrubs, I like them to be quite abrasive so you can actually feel them working but not too course that it hurts. I also cannot bear wishy washy scrubs with only a few grains in it, so that you can hardly feel it on your skin. This fitted the bill perfectly for me and has a great texture from the organic cupuaçu bio scrubs, oats, sugar and shea butter that really gets to work on any dry patches giving your skin a great buff!

It initially has quite a sticky texture (i guess from the honey?), but as it is worked into the skin and washed off in the shower it just leaves the skin lovely and smooth. The glycerin in the scrub, acts as a hydrator too, so that your skin feels soft rather than stripped when you come out of the shower. The Smoothie Star range also contains a body cream and body lotion so you can follow the scrub with a delicious dose of moisture too!

A gorgeous scrub, at a great price (£8) and even better is that Soap & Glory is nearly always on 3 for 2 in Boots. I would just like to see it in a travel sized tube, so I can take it on my holidays with me!

Spring Wishlist

Spring Wishlist

The notes section of my iPhone is full of products on various different wishlists, some products have been on there for a while, whilst others are newcomers that are still just as lust-worthy. Here are the things that I am currently coveting...

I love the warmth of this bronzer/contour and this highlighter looks stunning every time I have seen it on. Of course the packaging is the ultimate in Hollywood glamour and will not look out of place in my new bedroom!

This is new to my list, but after stalking the gorgeous @louhayhay Instagram, I have decided that I need this ASAP as it looks so beautiful on her!

A purchase that I have been meaning to get for a while to give me that radient look. I want it so much but need to get to Space NK first as don't want to waste money on the wrong shade!

After falling in love with the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray, I have now added this to my list to add the much needed oomph to my fine locks! It looks incredible on everyone who I have seen that has tried it!

This is the most beautiful colour and the formula is meant to be second to none. I haven't been able to part with the small fortune that this costs yet, but next time House of Fraser have their sale, it will be mine! Love the name too!

This deep cleansing mask claims to cleanse the skin and draw out impurities without drying the skin. perfect for balancing combination/oily skins like mine and perking up the complexion with anti-oxidants. I need this now!

I love amazing skincare products and this gorgeous serum has been getting rave reviews recently. It lifts smooths and firms everything overnight leaving you with the radient of complexions come morning. What's not to love?

I am about to move house next week and would love a Diptyque candle to fragrance my home and look stylish!  The ultimate blogger accessory which I would no doubt use as a brush holder when finished!

I am getting my first ever dressing table when I move house, and would love a small set of Muji acrylic drawers to house my essential make-up. Visible at a glance and keeps everything neat and tidy!

How gorgeous is this bright clementine coloured make-up bag? It is trimmed in patent leather and accented with gold-toned lettering, it has to be the most gorgeous make-up bag I have seen in a while! The perfect colour for Spring and big enough for all my make-up essentials!

Hopefully I will be able to share with you at least a couple of these products in future months, here's hoping anyway!

What is on your wishlist at the moment?

The Perfect Brow | Anastasia DipBrow Pomade

The latest release from Anastasia has got me very excited! For a girl with sparse brows, the new DipBrow Pomade is a dream as it literally stays put ALL DAY! My previous brow routine was using a pencil to fill in the gaps, followed by a powder to create a uniform shape followed by a tinted brow gel to keep everything in place. This was great for the most but by the end of the day, I would find that the gaps in my brows would reappear where the product had worn away and I would need to carry a pencil around for touch-ups. Those days have gone now as this little wonder does everything! It has a moussy texture which is a little different from anything I have used before, but a quick dip of an angled brush, slicked through the brows is all it takes. You possibly need to be a bit more precise than you would be with a powder, but pointed cotton buds are you friends here and are really handy incase of any mistakes which can be easily wiped away. After you have filled in your brows, leave them for a minute or two to set, and that is you done for the day, it does not budge!

I have the shade 'Blonde' for my fair brows as I dont like anything too harsh and its cool toned hues suits them perfectly, think Mac Omega and you are on the right lines. There is nothing quite like this on the market at the moment, and I cannot rate this highly enough. After all, your brows frame your face and if they can stay perfect all day, then the rest of you face will look pretty good too!

Available from Cult Beauty for £15.50
