Maybelline Baby Lips have arrived in the UK! These tinted lip balms in their bright fun packaging have been much lusted after by us Brits, as until now the have only sold them in America.
There are six different shades available: Pink Punch, Cherry Me, Peach Kiss, Mint Fresh, Hydrate and Intense Care. I purchased the first three listed as they appealed most to me and liked that they are tinted so a bit different to your regular lip balm. They all have an SPF 20 so perfect for the summer months and claim to give 8 hours moisture, which I am not too sure about though! I have been wearing them non-stop since they arrived last week and have fallen a little bit in love with Pink Punch, which is the most pigmented of them all but still fairly sheer in comparison to a lipstick. It is a vibrant bright pink which glides on easily, tastes of strawberries and leaves a lovely wash of colour that can be topped up easily throughout the day without a mirror!
Cherry Me is my second favourite, which has more of a red tint to the lips and tastes of (you’ve guessed it!) cherries! I can see myself wearing this one more in the autumn months as it is a bit darker than Pink Punch. Finally there is Peach Kiss which is the sheerest of the bunch and doesn’t really show that much on the lips, but does taste delicious!
I think these are great value for only £2.99 and am especially loving Pink Punch which looks great with a tan. The only niggle I would have with these is that my lips are feeling slightly dryer than normal since wearing these non-stop, so not really sure about the 8 hours moisture claim as I feel I need to use another lip balm as well! They do however make me smile and I’m glad that they have arrived here now. Available to buy at Boots.
