Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy

The most coveted Tarte Amazonion Clay 12-Hour Blush ($26) has sat on my wishlist for a good couple of years now longing to be bought, but as no trips to the US were imminent, I just had to let it sit there and call out my name! However as luck would have it, after a little chat on Twitter, my lovely friend Brittany from Life Set Sail (please check her fab blog out if you haven’t already!), offered to ship me one over, I promptly bit her hand off and wired the money straight over. A week later, it arrived and have literally used nothing else on these cheeks of mine since.

Lets start with the shade choice, as you all know by now, I am a sucker for peachy pinks, corals and the like, so really I knew I would be on to a winner with the shade Tipsy. It leans towards the pinky side of coral rather than peach, but to me it is just the most gorgeous shade that gives a beautiful pinched-cheek flush, perfect for spring. It is extremely pigmented so literally a little tap of my Crownbrush C405 (post here) is all that is needed for both cheeks. It is fairly hard in texture, (which is no doubtedly the Amazonian clay), yet is still so easy to pick up on the brush.

They claim an impressive 12 hour wear time, and although I have not timed it to the hour, I still have a flush to my cheeks after a full day at work, albeit not as apparant. The natural clay that is used is harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and boasts benefits for all skin types. On oily skin, the clay minimises oil in pores to balance the skin and helps the blush stay put, whilst drier skins will enjoy its hydrating and nourishing propeties. It seems that whatever your skin concern , this blush will stay put whilst being kind to the complexion.

Lastly, can we just taked a second to look at the cute packaging! I love how the plastic casing matches the blush inside perfectly, and if I had a whole collection of these blushes (one day!), I could easily identify the blush by looking at its packaging…genius!

Tarte is unfortunately not available in the UK yet, however, as of the 28th March 2014, you will be able to buy select products from Tarte on QVC, including these blushes!!! How exciting! Really Ree has a post here on the times etc of the launch here so be sure to check that out if you are interested in getting your hands on one too.

Also available from Sephora here
