Now that Spring has sprung and the sun is shining, I have added a little tan to my skin via the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow* (review here) and look far more healthier than a few weeks previous. I was having a bit of a chilled out day yesterday, just nipping out and about, so kept my make-up semi-mimimal to create a fresh springtime look, that was also lightly bronzed and glowy.
I started by priming my skin with the Laura Mercier Radience Primer, which I am loving at the moment for keeping my base in place whilst giving me a lovely glow! I then buffed in the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Cashew Beige, which is one of my all time favourite foundation and hides a multiple of sins! I concealer my dark circles with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard and as this a little light for my slight tan, I applied the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 03 Medium Warm to any blemishes and redness. I finished my base by setting it with the Ben Nye Banana Powder which I have a small sample of from ebay, but absolutely love it so need to get myself a big pot of this before it goes out of stock again! For bronzer, I used the Sephora MicroSmooth Baked Bronzer Duo in Honey Heat, which I absolutely love. It is half matte and half shimmer, but when mixed together you get a lovely bronze glow which really warms up the complexion, it’s amazing! I wanted a peachy flush, so added a little of Benefit Coralista on my cheeks which creates quite a glowy look so held off on the highlighter as thought it may be a bit overkill.
For the eyes, I started by filling in my brows with the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade in Blonde. Ithen primed my lids with the Urban Decay Primer Potion which I am annoyed that I have only just discovered as think it is amazing for extending the wear of your eyeshadow, I have really noticed a difference! From the Urban Decay Naked Palette, I used the shade ‘Half Baked’ (a shimmery gold) all over the lid and then applied ‘Smog’ (a shimmery bronze/brown ) in the outer corner and along the upper and lower lash line for extra definition as decided not to wear liner for this look (unheard of for me!). Finally, I coated my lashes in two coats of Maybelline The Falsies, which is my all-time favourite mascara, I love how it hugs the lashes and makes them long and voluminous, could not be without it!
To complete my look, I applied the Wet n’ Wild Megalast Lipstick in Just Peachy which is my newest love and biggest bargain that I got when I was in New York recently. It is a gorgeous peachy pink shade that looks quite matte on the lips but is non-drying and has great longevity.
I really like this look and I’m sure I will be recreating it over the coming months, what do you think?
