If you are in the the mood for Summer, then feast your eyes on this! The new Colours of Brazil Collection from Clarins is inspired from the beaches of Brazil by combining the rich golds and bronzes of the sand as well as blue and coral to reflect the sea. The collection includes a beautiful bronzing compact, an eyeshadow & liner palette, six gorgeous lip balm crayons and a black waterproof mascara. You can’t help but feel summer ready with such a gorgeous collection!
The Colours of Brazil Quartet & Liner Palette* (£32) contains four neutral shadows including a light mushroom, a golden mid-brown, a chocolate brown and a lovely coral shade which really catches the light and makes the eyes pop. The shadows are soft, buttery and well pigmented and blend seamlessly creating a matte sensuous look. There is also an intense royal blue liner which compliments the look and looks beautiful along the lower lash line. All shadows can be used both wet and dry depending of the intensity of the look you want to create. The palette itself has a South American inspired motif both on the casing and also imbossed into the shadows, making it visually stunning and almost a shame to spoil! The addition of the application guide is great and will also help any novices by showing where to put each shadow to create the look! I think these neutral shadows will suit almost anyone and the addition of the blue adds a bit of fun to liven up your look! A great little palette that really compliments the season.
L-R: Creamy Pink, Sweet Cherry, Soft Coffee
What has got me most excited though are the Lip Balm Crayons* (£18) which are just so hydrating on the lips they are going to be the perfect handbag accessory this summer, as you don’t even need a mirror to apply! There are six shades in the collection, I have the shades Creamy Pink (a light soft pink), Sweet Cherry (a cherry red) and Soft Coffee (a reddy brown). They impart a sheer wash of colour to the lips and because they have a balm-like texture, it makes them a breeze to apply! It also leaves the lips looking luminous and glossy. They contain shea butter to hydrate like a lip balm which makes them extremely comfortable to wear and feels like they are actually doing the job of soothing and moisturising the lips. They have a gorgeous vanilla scent to them too (much like the coveted Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector), which makes you want to reapply again and again. There is also one shade in the collection, My Pink which contain sensitive pigments that react with the pH of your lips to create a unique shade, which I am really excited to try! I love these crayons and cannot recommend them highly enough.
The product from the collection that I am also coveting, but don’t have to show unfortunately, is the Summer Bronzing Compact, which has a blend of soft brown and terracotta shades, suitable to warm all skin tones and provide luminosity to the skin. It too is embossed with the South American inspired motif and is housed in a giant compact which is perfect for swirling your brush in and giving you that summer glow. This is definitely one on my shopping list, it is far to pretty to refuse!
This is such a beautiful collection, which I shall definitely be taking with me on my holiday this year. Will you be picking up any of these products?
