Milani Rose Powder Blush

Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose and Coral Cove

How pretty are these blushes? The Rose Powder Blush ($7.99) is the latest release from Milani this Spring, although previously released as limited edition products, these have now made their way into Milani’s permanent collection.

There are three shades to choose from, Romantic Rose, Tea Rose (pictured left) and Coral Cove (pictured right). As you can guess, Coral Cove made its way into my basket as did Romantic Rose as this looked like a shade that I don’t really have in my collection. The blushes are completely matte, which I tend to prefer these days, and all have this gorgeous rose design to them which makes them very aesthetically pleasing. There is no mirror unfortunately, however this does mean that you can see the shade of blush through the packaging which I like.

Above is Romantic Rose, which is a dusky brownish pink, which as I mentioned is a shade I don’t really own, but I have been really loving it. It is the kind of shade that seems to go with everything, whether you are amping your look up for a night out or just going for a natural look. It makes for a great everyday blush as you don’t need to think about what blush to wear,  as this will certainly compliment it!

Coral Cove is a bright warm-toned coral that is extremely pigmented, a serious light hand is needed with this one! This shade is actually very similar to the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12hr blush in Tipsy, which is extremely popular, so if you are looking for a drugstore alternative, this is a great one. I love coral blushes, they are my go-to shade especially in Spring/Summer, so I will definitely get a lot of use out of this one in the coming months. I find bright corals like this, are great for adding a pop of color to the cheeks to brighten up a neutral look.

Both shades blend really nicely on the skin and lasted for hours, it was mid-afternoon before they faded on me, which for a drugstore blush is pretty impressive.

I can’t find a link anywhere online to buy them at present, except for the Milani website here. They are definitely available from CVS, which is where I bought mine.

Will you be picking these up?
