Tom Ford lipsticks have been high on my wish list for a while now, I am still dreaming of the day Spanish Pink graces my lips! However, when I saw the release of this new limited edition collection from the man himself all named after the men in his life, I was all over it!. There are a whopping 50 lipsticks in the collection, but my selection was made easy by the fact there was one called Matthew, which is my husbands name, and one called William, who is my son. How could I resist? Even my husband thought it was sweet that I had bought them both (which eased my guilt of spending $32 on each one straight after Christmas!). Luckily for me, they were also both colors that I will get a lot of wear out of too!
Matthew is one of the ‘coral to oranges’ shades and is a vibrant coral (which I was so happy about!), which has warm undertones so really suits my complexion. It is beautifully pigmented and the vibrancy really lasts well on the lips. This shade is going to look amazing in the Spring/Summer!
William is one of the ‘metallics’ and is a very natural nude beige color that has a golden metallic sheen to it. It is very easy to wear, so is great as an everyday lipstick as it looks very natural, but the shimmer in it gives it an edge that would easily compliment a night time look too. It would equally look gorgeous as part of a bronze/golden look in the Summer.
Both lipsticks glide alone the lips with ease and melt into the lips. I now know what the hype is all about, as these lipsticks are beautiful. They are long lasting, feel extremely comfortable to wear and the black and gold luxe packaging is just to die for. These are a lot smaller than the full size lipsticks, which also makes them cheaper, which for me, was an ideal way of trying these beautiful lipsticks for the first time.
